šŸš“ FBI Investigates Tesla Supercharger Arson in Lacey

A major incident shook the South Sound earlier this month.
In the early hours of April 8, 2025, a Tesla Supercharger station in Lacey was severely damaged by an act of arson—and now, the FBI, ATF, and Lacey Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

The fire, which broke out at the Tesla charging station located at 665 Sleater Kinney Road SE, caused substantial destruction to both the station and parts of the surrounding area.

What Happened at the Lacey Supercharger?

šŸ”„ Date: Early morning of April 8, 2025
šŸš— Location: Tesla Supercharger Station, near South Sound Center (close to Target and Kohl’s)
šŸ•µļø Incident: Authorities say an individual intentionally started a fire that led to a major explosion and widespread damage

According to the FBI’s report, the suspect:

  • Is described as a white male, approximately 5’10ā€ to 6’2ā€

  • Was wearing a dark jacket with a hood, gray pants, and a face covering

  • Carried a white bag (possibly plastic)

  • Walks with a distinct limp, kicking out the right leg and occasionally holding the right hand behind his back

Investigators believe the individual may have sustained injuries such as burns, a concussion, or shrapnel wounds from the explosion.

...to check their doorbell cameras, business security footage, or dashcams from the night of April 7 into the early morning of April 8.
