Olympia Artspace Alliance Invites Submissions for 'Awaken'
Explore the Theme of 'Awaken' in Downtown Olympia

Are you an artist looking for a unique opportunity to showcase your work? The Olympia Artspace Alliance (OAA) is now accepting proposals for its upcoming 'Awaken' exhibition—a creative initiative that will transform vacant storefronts in downtown Olympia into vibrant art spaces. This project, running from mid-April through the end of July 2025, invites artists to reflect on the beauty, challenges, and hope that the spring season brings.
Project Overview
Part of the Art in Olympia Storefronts initiative, this exhibition aims to: 🎨 Activate vacant spaces in downtown Olympia
👩🎨 Provide paid opportunities for local artists and students
🌟 Increase public access to professional art
💡 Encourage creativity throughout the community
This project is supported by Olympia Federal Savings, Olympia Downtown Alliance, City of Olympia Inspire funding, and contributions from individual donors.
What Are They Looking For?
Artists and artist teams are encouraged to submit proposals for site-responsive, temporary 2D and 3D installations that align with the theme of 'Awaken'. All visual media, including video, are welcome. Proposals that creatively engage with the space and scale of the storefront windows are highly encouraged.

Important Details:
The installations should be suitable for the general public (no explicit content allowed).
Artists are responsible for all materials, installation, and maintenance.
Stipend: $500, paid in two installments.
